In 2017, The UK Parliament reformed the Sex Education curriculum. Commencing on September 1st 2020, the curriculum adapted the name Relationships and Sex Education in Schools which allowed all primary schools to teach relationships education and all secondary schools to teach relationships and sex education in more depth than before. This change resulted in mixed reactions.
However, sex is inevitable. Research published by the Public Library of Science states "when sex education is comprehensive, students feel more informed, make safer choices and have healthier outcomes". The concept of this project is to provide sex education in a fun alternative approach for adults.

The project adapts the ruins of the German Royal Spa located in Queens Park, Brighton, BN2 0BT. Throughout the project the Royal Spa is adapted through materials, structures and architectural styles.

The Pleasure Workshop concept aims to:
-annihilate sex myths and slut shaming
-provide better sexual health
- promote sex positivity
The Pleasure workshop market are adults and is inspired by Shunga- Japanese erotic art. Shunga reached its height in popularity during the Edo period, thus the architectural details are inspired by that era.
